ABOUT PRINTS…
I have been a printer for almost as long as I have been a photographer, beginning with black-and-white at the Visual Studies Workshops in Rochester, New York, and progressing through Cibachrome (back in the days when you had to beat the bleach with a hammer so it would dissolve) until finally arriving at digital printing. I love transforming small bits of celluloid and pixels into larger images that hang on walls and in galleries for others to share.
I use Epson UltraChrome™ pigment inks on Epson Premium Semimatte and Ultrasmooth Fine Art papers and anticipate archival life spans for these prints of over 65 years, according to Henry Wilhelm’s research.
Prints are sold unmatted and unframed to keep costs to the buyer as low as possible. I will produce custom sizes as long as I feel it appropriate. For instance, some earlier digital images photographed with cameras considered only moderate in resolution by today’s standards (6-8 megapixels) will simply fall apart if printed over 12”X17” or thereabouts. I will not sell a print that I would not hang on my own wall.
My sales guarantee is simple—if a print fades, or is defective in any way, shape, or form, send it back for immediate replacement. For a large print or a large order, if color matching is important, ask for a small sample print.
Pricing for editorial use is competitive with other rights-managed suppliers.
