I've been photographing professionally for over twenty years now. My perspective about what it is that I do changed while I was rebuilding the damage done to me after a half-dozen young gangsters tried to murder me for being a photographer a few years back. These days, I try to concentrate my efforts on the taking pictures of things that I feel are important.
It is, shall we say, not the easiest way to make a living, but not without its own rewards.
