Gary Hampton is back in London, UK and available for assignment work.
Born in England in 1964, Gary Hampton spent 15 years in France before basing himself in New Delhi, India in January 2005. After working as a clinical pharmacologist in the pharmaceutical industry for 20 years, he decided to become a photojournalist.
Drawing on his substantial knowledge and experience of medicine and clinical research, he decided to dedicate his career to documenting the state of the world’s health, in particular “rare” and “forgotten” diseases in the developing world. He is also engaged in documenting the people who are fighting for recognition and new treatments for these diseases.
"The contemplation of things as they are
Without error or confusion
Without substitution or imposture
Is in itself a nobler thing
Than a whole harvest of invention"
