Robert Case is an award winning filmmaker and broadcast television producer, writer, director, director of photography and editor. His 28 years of industry experience include broadcast network television program development, film and video production, production consulting, media training and College-level media education. Since 2000, Rob has added still photography into his business and teaching endeavors.
Rob has a long record of national and international experience. He has produced over 400 topically diverse television shows for thirteen US cable networks including, National Geographic, the History Channel, A&E, the Discovery Networks, ESPN, the Scripps Networks, among others.
Internationally, he created and managed the production of programming for the national networks of Egypt and Jordan, and he has produced broadcast and independent films in the Southern Ocean off Antarctica, in India, Senegal, Malawi, Mexico, Greece, the U.K., Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. As field producer and director of photography, Rob just completed principal photography of “Whale Wars” in the Antarctic for Animal Planet. Before that, he wrote and produced the one-hour, “Fighting Back” episode of Fight Science for National Geographic’s US and International Channels.
Skilled in all roles of TV and film production, Rob has written, produced, directed, shot and edited at a number of independent production companies and for network television news, including ABC, NBC and CNN.
In addition to television show production, Rob teaches all levels of television production to international producers and photographers through a contract with the Voice of America in Washington, DC.
Through his company, deCasa Productions, LLC, he is a mentor for TV and film production professionals, young filmmakers, and still photography enthusiasts for international broadcasters, businesses and organizations. Recent education assignments include the development and production of short documentary film productions and still photo safaris in Senegal and Malawi, Africa and in Belize, Central America
