Christopher Talbot Frank is a master photographer of the natural environment. Chris uses a 4x5 view camera for his landscape photography to capture the whole environment giving the viewer a sense of place and the feeling of the surrounding area. He believes in finding the perfect composition of an ideal subject and only photographing when the light is exceptional. Christopher's use of backlight and sidelight create vibrant colors that radiate from his photography. His editing standards are extremely tight, so every image is perfect.
One of Christopher's specialties is wildflowers. He photographs only when mother nature is at her best, that is, usually during a 30, 40, 60, or 100 year bloom of wildflowers in a particular area. While some of his most striking images are landscapes of carpets of wildflowers, he is also working on photographing most all of the beautiful species of wildflowers of the SouthWest as art and not to just document the type of flower.
Some of Christopher Talbot Frank's new work is with a high end digital camera. This camera allows Chris to photographing nature, but not the traditional "landscape" sense. Christopher still use his 4X5 view camera for capturing superior images of the nature's beautiful ecosystems and believes in the perfect mix of gear to capture any natural subject in extremely high resolution.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoyed you journey through my natural world, Christopher Talbot Frank
