clients, or you can share many groups of images with a single individual.
Image buyers can see prices for your Royalty-Free images and license
them immediately. And they can request the price of a Rights-Managed
image with a single click of the mouse. You can even set permission
levels to allow clients to have different viewing, downloading, and

FTPSyndication Features The goal: upload once, sell often. Any images in your system can be sent
to clients or representatives via FTP syndication
in one of many different sizes, directly from your Digital Railroad
member archive. Clients, editors and printers might want to receive
the actual high-resolution images to the FTP instead of viewing images
online. You can create multiple one-click FTP destinations and shortcuts
for future distribution. You can also track sent files. No other system
allows you to do this directly from your online member archive.
Powerful Search Images that are added to our system are
indexed almost immediately. Users can utilize a simple or advanced search.
The system allows "full text"searching of captions and keywords,
which supports different forms of words, tenses, capitalization and
plurals. Category Search The Categories feature allows you to associate images by concept, subject matter, or other common criteria. Buyers can browse entire categories or search within a category to find more targeted results (for example, search for "awards" within the "Sports" category). You name the category and choose the criterion that defines it. For example, you could create an "Entertainment" category that consisted of all images that include the keyword "celebrity." You can create as many categories as you want. Once you create the categories, you then need to activate them in order for them to display in your member archive header.
Currency conversion To pro-actively support our international
members, we've added a currency converter our platform. We now support
six major currencies: Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Euro, Pound
Sterling, US dollar, and Yen. Buyers see their preferred currency in
their cart, in price requests, and during checkout. Member archive owners
see their preferred currency in their member archive, in the archives
of other members, and in Marketplace. Member archive owners can also assign
different currencies to the member archive account and individual member
archives of that account and we will continue to add more international
features. Sell Directly Pricing Image buyers can see the price of any
Royalty-Free (RF) image from its detail view. The buyer simply picks
what size they want, adds it to their Cart, and checks out. For Rights-Managed (RM) images, a convenient
link on each thumbnail allows image buyers to contact you directly with
single or multiple price requests. You are automatically notified of
the request and can negotiate with the buyer until you come to mutually
agreeable terms. Many of our members are selling RM images around the
world for hundreds to thousands of dollars. A history of all your price requests
is available in your account at all times. You can also easily assign
this selling role to others using your online account management tools.
Agents, assistants and reps can respond to price requests on your behalf. Most importantly, your buyers can license
your images with a credit card. Now you don't have to wait 3-9 months
for your international customers to pay their invoice. eCommerce You most likely would rather not deal
with merchant accounts and typical professional buyers do not want to
use PayPal.® Digital Railroad takes care of processing
transactions and sends you a check or delivers the money directly to
your bank account via ACH, deducting a small transaction fee of 5% directly
from the sale. As soon as you create your member archive:
Marketplace Upload your images once into your own personalized member archive and sell them directly while simultaneously submitting them to the Digital Railroad Marketplace – a destination where buyers from around the world can search for images that members have submitted. Marketplace provides you with control, income opportunities and access to professional buyers around the world. We are focused on constant development of features that will make it easier for buyers to find and license your images. Control.
You control baseline image pricing. With one click, you can sell
your images with or without territory restrictions around the world. Your images will receive more visibility. More visibility increases your opportunities to license your images. You may publish your images to Marketplace with territory designations that give you full control where and how your images can be licensed in Marketplace.
Income.
Digital Railroad respects the professional photographer’s goal of
making the best images and being paid accordingly. We deduct only a
20% transaction fee and photographers receive 80% of any image licensed
in Marketplace. This small fee is re-invested by Digital Railroad into
aggressive product development, Marketplace marketing and processing
transactions. Our online payment system will remit net sales automatically
within 15 days of the end of each transaction period via ACH or by check
within 30 days of the end of each transaction period. Access. Marketplace gives photographers access to a community of global image buyers eager for fresh, original content.
