Antonino Condorelli was born in Catanzaro, Calabria in southern Italy in 1973. When he was 18 years old he met an important freelance photographer who was covering mafia ties to kidnapping events in Calabria. His mentor taught him the art of photography until he attended photojournalism school in Milan. In 2000, after years of contributing to local newspapers, Antonino began freelancing and became a stringer for Italian agencies. He has covered sports and political events, as well as foreign social reporting. He has worked in Argentina, Burundi, Romania, South Africa, and Italy accomplishing features ranging from psychiatric hospitals to Easter celebrations in Calabria and clandestine landings on the southern Italian coasts. Currently he works as free lance photojournalist covering social reportage, sports, and politics.
