“For me, photography is a philosophical venture...I'm always seeking creative/expressive forms and this has been an enduring means of sharing and extending my vision with others.
Taking a photograph can open windows of thought as I compose and shoot… hopefully encouraging the viewers/participants of my artwork to also expand their thinking.
Life offers many opportunities, but becoming more thoughtful and compassionate, increasing our sensitivity to the natural world, understanding the tragedy, sadness, joy and blessings of our own and other cultures…these are the most important pursuits for us as human beings.
Photography is our own personal exploration—an adventure—which enables us to share the journey with others. But most importantly, it is a timeless sharing.
Once captured, a photo is always waiting to be discovered or re-discovered, maybe for generations, maybe even longer.
Photography can be a time capsule of our own life, our lives together and our philosophical pondering of the human condition--which we can share with others even after we are but dust."
