She comments:

"I have worked both in the United States and Internationally with people of many other cultures and all aged groups...which often helps me to engage people in conversations about their lives, their hopes and what is important to them. This conversation often helps people to enjoy having their photo taken and can result in relaxed, natural portraits which they can treasure. Hopefully, my photographs offer viewers an insight into individuals, society and other cultures, allowing them to learn from and appreciate exceptionally different lifestyles and very diverse points of view!"

Some photography memories, by Margaret M. Savino:

“When I was young, my brother Henry & I would spend the weekend taking photos with our shared little Brownie camera and then Dad would take them into the newspaper for developing when the darkroom guys had time. The elation of looking at the black and white prints was always present when Dad walked in the door with the brown envelope and a smile. We would pour over the photos, deciding if our creative idea had been captured, if we had conveyed the mood and moment, if they were okay, which meant back then technically correct…we learned so much each time.”

Excerpt from paper written by Margaret M. Savino:

“Creative pursuits are an opportunity for opening new horizons of thought ...laying a foundation for experiencing beauty and personal expression throughout one’s lifetime... As humans, we need to be encouraged to experience the beauty contained in the subjects of the Humanities... As a social being, we need to have leisure and enjoyment so as to fully develop our own talents and feelings…As humans, we must be able to experience with our senses, and express with our talents... This is the basis of the study of Humanities, the place where we begin to understand the potential of human nature in courses such as philosophy, music, art, theater, literature and poetry.” Margaret M.
